Have you ever noticed how many comedians share a very deep thoughtful soul?
I think the most of the time being able to make fun and joke about everyday life or simply being able to make others laugh is sign of great knowledge of people’s mind and emotions. Usually accompanied by sound sensitivity many Italian comedians of the early 20th century were also some of the most serious and unbelievably deep people of their time. Brilliant minds, versed philosophers who praised for their jokes, never they could be acknowledged for their sparkling romantics brains. Because of course they were comedians and a joke is only a joke, there is nothing behind it.
I do believe that Misery loves Comedy. And it takes the strongest of people to turn the deepest of sorrows into a smile.
Follow my artsy friend Luca Coniglio on Tumblr. I featured one of his beautiful drawings in the past on my blog. He’s a great artist and talks about a lot of very important topics (also helps if you keep italian to english google translator on standby haha). Big huge to my lovely italian stallion Lulu!
